She Nell is an award-winning author, blogger, and avid reader. She is always searching for a great read that draws you in but does not draw you away from the Christian lifestyle. As a believer, she is mindful of the atmosphere she creates for herself and the messages that she entertains. She is mindful, not perfect.
In a quest for edification and entertainment, she learned about the Urban Christian Fiction genre. It was in the pages of these books that she found the drama that not only satisfied the hunger for a juicy story but also filled her desire for spiritual truth.
In the summer of 2017, she began a blog where she reviewed Christian fiction and interviewed Christian authors and readers. In the fall of 2017, she signed with Anointed Inspirations Publishing, and her debut book A Good Thing was released in October 2017. In 2021, she created Light and Salt Press, LLC.
Importantly, She Nell is a wife, mother, and daughter of the King. She lives in Tampa, Florida.

VBD: How did your writing journey start?
SHE NELL: I started writing around the end of elementary school. At the time, there weren’t many books with black characters, so I wrote stories about myself and my friends. Years later, I stumbled across Christian fiction and fell in love with it. I started blogging about the genre and I was discovered by a publisher who signed me to her company. Since then, I have had the honor of being selected The Path to Publishing Conference’s author of the year, and the Endie Fyah radio author of the year and best interview.
