Ann Marie Bryan
Ann Marie is a multi-talented leader with a passion for excellence. Her interactions and engagements are rooted in her Christian convictions. She patterns her life on Psalm 84:11(KJV), “For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Her greatest passion is to empower others to succeed by gaining greater self-awareness through knowledge of God’s word. Ann Marie creatively uses biblical principles to encourage individuals to achieve personal excellence by tapping into their God given potential to live life to the fullest.
Career
Ann Marie has a distinguished career in human resource management in the financial industry. Currently, she is a highly trained and accomplished human resource information technology professional. She is a graduate of Florida A & M University where she obtained a Master of Business Administration degree.
Blessed with professional success, God had yet another plan for Ann Marie’s life. In 2010, the Lord began to drop strong messages in her spirit about starting a business. She knew the type of business entity and the products and services to offer. As she prepared her business plan, Ann Marie began to seek the Lord for the name of the business. Several months later, she sat in church listening to her pastor, Bishop John Baker as he began the first in a series of teachings under the theme “Victorious Christian Living”. As the message progressed, Bishop Baker declared, “We are victorious by design.”
There was a quickening in Ann Marie’s spirit and with that Victorious By Design was established to equip individuals and organizations with exceptional educational products and services and a wealth of information to improve spiritual, educational, social and economic standings.
The Gift To Impart
It gives Ann Marie great pleasure to impart knowledge into the lives of others. Her passion for training is a gift from God. She was born into a family of educators. She began teaching mathematics as early as middle school. For a period, she assisted her community by teaching adult literacy classes in reading, mathematics and English language. After college, she entered the field of human resource management where professional development and training became a part of her job responsibilities.
Writing Projects
Ann Marie’s creativity fuels her enthusiasm not only for training but also for writing and the performing arts. In July 2012, she published her first book, Unforgettable, My Love Has Come Along, a novel that strengthens faith and gives hope to all who are looking for long and lasting love. Since then, Ann Marie combined effort with the other members of Tallahassee Authors Network Christian Subgroup to create Truth Awaits You On The Other Side, an anthology about the consequences of sin.
A Christian Fiction author, Ann Marie writes to educate, inspire and empower others. She desires to tell great stories with fascinating characters to show the awesome power of God in the lives of people and places. Ann Marie is a member of Christian Authors Network (a subgroup of Tallahassee Authors Network), Tallahassee Writers Association (TWA), Goodreads, BookBub, and several online writers’ groups and book clubs. One of her happy places is her Facebook readers' group, Ann Marie Bryan's Readers' Cafe. For several years, Ann Marie operated as the Editor-in-Chief of Purpose Driven Women Magazine and a year as Managing Editor of VIP Global Magazine, but now serves as the Editor-in-Chief of VBD Magazine.
The Performing Arts
Ann Marie enjoys all categories of the performing arts. However, she has a special love for dance. She believes that the art of dance is an effective medium of worship, evangelism and discipleship. Ann Marie willingly shares her time, talent, resources and expertise to the service and glory of God through the ministry of dance.
Her experience in the ministry of dance spans sixteen years during which she was a member and subsequently the Artistic Director of Meadowbrook United Church Dance Ministry, Kingston, Jamaica. During her tenure, Ann Marie coordinated the staging of several elaborate dance and drama productions including “Back to Basics”, “ With this Ring ”, “The Battle is the Lord’s”, “If My People…”, “Counterfeit”, “Magnify the Lord”, “Praise Him in Dance” and “In His Presence”. These productions were staged in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, the Bahamas and Maryland (USA).
Using her extensive experience in the use of movement to depict various characters and situations, Ann Marie has also choreographed dances and hosted dance workshops for Florida A & M University Development Research School (Tallahassee, FL), Kidz Academy (Tallahassee, FL), Greater Love Church of God in Christ Dance Ministry (Tallahassee, FL), Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church (Severna Park, Maryland) and Elmslie United Church (Grand Cayman). A motivator, Ann Marie goes beyond dance techniques to share a deep understanding of music and culture with students to advance their artistry.
Working Her Talents
Ann Marie served as the Director of the Ministry of Worship & Arts and Artistic Director of the Dance Ministry at New Hope International Outreach Ministries in Tallahassee, Florida. Under her tutelage, the Ministry of Worship & Arts staged theatrical productions under the themes “Exalt our God” (2005), “Celebrate Christ” (2005), “It is our Season” (2007) in collaboration with the Omega Forbes Family and Friends Chorale, “Incredible God, Incredible Praise” (2008), “Spread the Word” (2009), “The Gift of Jesus Christ” (2010), “An Unforgettable Christmas” (2011), “The Father’s Will” (2012), “Jesus: The Power to Break Every Chain” (March 2013), “Jesus:Our Priceless Gift” (December 2013), “Amazing God, Amazing King” (April 2014), “Celebrate Jesus” (December 2014), “Amazing Grace” (April 2015), “Amazing Love," and “Joy to the World” in 2017.
Ann Marie also functions as the Overseas Events Director of Ycats Soul of Dance from Kingston, Jamaica. In April 2011, she served as the chairperson of committee when New Hope International Outreach Ministries hosted Brothers and Sisters in Service (BaSiS) Performing Arts Ensemble from Kingston, Jamaica. New Hope Worship and Arts Ministry in collaboration with BASIS Ensemble presented two theatrical productions and dance workshops in Tallahassee, Florida.
