NORMALIZING MILLIONS FOR TODAY’S CEO
CEO, Incredible One Enterprises
For many, financial security remains wishful thinking. However, those who have unlocked the secrets of building wealth know that it is entirely within reach. With a profound understanding of wealth creation and preservation, Dr. Darnyelle Jervey Harmon has dedicated her career to guiding businesses towards financial abundance.
Dr. Darnyelle is the award-winning, iconic, and incomparable two-time Inc. 5000 CEO of Incredible One Enterprises, LLC, a multi-million-dollar coaching and consulting brand. Best known for transforming the lives of her business coaching clients and live event attendees, she equips her clients to leverage and scale businesses that serve them financially and spiritually.
“My secret sauce is helping business owners leverage and scale their businesses while deepening their faith and connection to God,” says Dr. Darnyelle. “The whole reason we did one million dollars in three days in 2014 was because I decided to take a bold stance for God. He promised to make it easy. And He did.”
In our exclusive interview, Dr. Darnyelle shares invaluable wisdom that transcends mere financial advice. From the fundamentals of understanding money to the psychology of wealth accumulation, Dr. Darnyelle offers practical insights and a holistic approach to wealth building—one that encompasses mindset and actionable strategies.
GROWING IN GRACE
Dr. Darnyelle recounted being born to drug-addicted parents, characterizing her early life as typically chaotic. “When I was six years old, I learned the story surrounding my birth. And while I couldn’t quite comprehend it, one thing was clear: I was born with a purpose.”
Another pivotal moment in Dr. Darnyelle’s childhood occurred when she was 8 years old and her mother’s home was raided, and subsequently, her mother was taken to jail. “I was immediately mad at the world. How was I going to live without my mother? My dad did his best to make a home for me, but I couldn’t shake my desire to be mad at the world.”
In 5th grade, Mrs. Dixon, one of Dr. Darnyelle’s teachers, helped her discover her purpose. “Mrs. Dixon didn’t perceive me as an angry black girl. She helped me to recognize my potential and purpose. Through an introduction to journaling, my life, which was chaotic at best, suddenly made sense and I realized that my purpose was clear: To use words to change the lives of others. And I set on a path to consume words, because I knew that one day, many lives would depend on the words I would speak.”
CALLED TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
“I still remember December 17, 2004, like it was yesterday. That was the day that I realized that I wasn’t born to sit behind someone else’s desk. That night, God wouldn’t let me sleep. I awoke very clear that it was my last day at my job.”
“As I drove to work and entered the parking lot, the knot in my stomach became a lump in my throat. By the time I got to my desk, it was clear what I had to do. I typed a quick resignation letter and began to pack up my desk. I didn’t have a plan, I moved because God told me to. And I never looked back.”
INCREDIBLE ONE ENTERPRISES
In 2007, Dr. Darnyelle established Incredible One Enterprises, LLC to offer strategic planning, business consulting, money mindset coaching, keynote speaking, sales optimization, and talent and leadership development.
“I started the company following a successful corporate career and Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultancy. I wanted to leverage more core gifts and talents to help small business owners build companies that serve them financially and spiritually. We are a business transformation company. We serve small to medium sized companies and corporations. Our work includes a strategic infusion of coaching, consulting, training, and neuroscience based on our proven Move to Millions®, Lead Millions® and Sell Millions® Methods.”
Dr. Darnyelle reflected on the early years of Incredible One Enterprises, acknowledging that they were far from glamorous; instead, they were marked by disappointments, debt, bankruptcy, and overwhelming confusion. “I started to feel like I misheard God and was not supposed to be building this business. I felt like a failure.”
Recounting a particularly challenging period, Dr. Darnyelle said that she sustained herself on a diet of ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a grueling 18 months, all the while striving to avoid the possibility of living out of her Chevy Equinox.
“Against my better judgment and desire, I even ended up going back to work. That job was ordained by God – I ran a women’s business center. Again, the irony that I, who couldn’t excel in her own business, was helping others establish theirs. And I was good, too – growing the program and outcomes by 68% in the two years I was there. I got to test market my new marketing course too, which was a big hit. I also learned what I didn’t start my own business knowing and as a result, when I left at the end of 2010, I was better and stronger. I was incredible.
