Every entrepreneur is motivated by a passion that goes beyond them. Dr. Sharon Arrindell is no different. Each day, she wakes up fueled by the desire to bring change—determined to mend brokenness one crack at a time. Through her inspiring messages of hope and wholeness, she takes pleasure in making a positive impact on the lives of those she encounters.
Dr. Arrindell, a native of Jamaica, West Indies, is the CEO of Inspired Wholeness Enterprise, the umbrella for Inspired Wholeness School; Wholeness Counseling and Coaching Service; and Inspired Wholeness Ministries. She speaks virtually or in person and has spoken in the US, the Caribbean, France, and Spain.
She has authored eight books including her #1 bestseller Armored and Victorious, the sequel to her first biographical piece, Weapons for Victory. She has been featured in several magazines including New York Weekly. Her faith-based relationship building counseling service offers pre-marriage, marriage, and divorce care services. She also established a coaching program for single women: The Waiting Room: WAIT for the Dream.
The trailblazer’s journey to this point was not easy, but Dr. Arrindell cultivated a resilient and determined spirit within herself, because she recognized that she could become whoever she aspired to be. All she had to do was rise to the occasion. Dr. Arrindell is married to her dream guy Keith and combined they have five children and ten grandchildren.
A ROLLER COASTER STORY
Dr. Arrindell can vividly remember sitting at her grandmother’s feet for hours watching as she pedals her sewing machine. She had hopes of becoming a distinguished seamstress like her someday. After sewing several outfits by hand, her dream became a reality when her parents invested in a sewing machine for her. It was the beginning of a fashion designing career in New York, which ultimately became a store she owned and operated. Suddenly, everything fell apart, and she lost everything she owned.
Initially, this setback left her feeling too crippled to move, but soon her courage returned. Dr. Arrindell embraced every failure as a learning curve and this helped to develop her uncanny ability to go from upside down failure to right side up success, without staying too long in the ashes. She returned to school at the age of 40, after much prayer and studying, her academic career led to a Master of Science in Counseling and dual Doctorates in Biblical Counseling and Education Leadership.
DESTINED FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Dr. Arrindell served as a full-time school counselor for years, but she felt the call of entrepreneurship once more. It was difficult to break free from a definite bi-weekly salary to the possibility of sometimes not making a salary at all. But she enjoyed being a “Boss Lady” more, having only to answer to her Creator about the decisions she made.
With no regrets, Dr. Arrindell calls the transition to entrepreneurship the best and most difficult decision she ever made. God also blessed her with a spouse who allows her the freedom to be the best she can be, while assisting to help make Inspired Wholeness Enterprise a success. She acknowledges her spouse and three other individuals who contributed to putting the company on the map.
