LaShonda R. Prim, transformational speaker, author, entrepreneur, and storytelling genius is the CEO and Founder of Dazzling Divas Empowering Women Toward Success. Her mission is to motivate women to overcome obstacles, embrace change, and achieve success. The messages she conveys stem from the personal experiences and challenges she has encountered in her life. These messages are rich in meaning and brimming with inspiration that resonates with women from diverse backgrounds.
Originally from downtown Charleston, LaShonda now calls Duncan, SC, her home. She is the proud mother of 7 beautiful children and is happily married to Aswad Prim. LaShonda served in the U.S. Army as a Unit Supply Specialist for 5 years. After being medically discharged from the military, she worked at the Department of Defense as a civilian for an additional 5 years.
Inspired by her calling to motivate and empower other women and young girls to “always move towards your dreams,” she resigned from her government job. LaShonda is a cosmetologist by trade but now holds the title CEO and Owner of Dream Essentials by LaShonda Renee’, a handmade all-natural skin and body care line, and Empire Nutrition, a health and wellness company.
She has an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship. She has co-authored a collaborative best seller, Moments in Her Story: From Pain to Purpose II (2015), and released 2 books, Journey through the Eyes of a Teen Mom (2016) and Transformed by Grace (2022). All aim to motivate, inspire and transform the mindset of women around the world.
Her most recent project, the Slay the Day journal, was published for girls after her experience mentoring girls for the 2022-2023 school year. This journal focuses on helping girls to express themselves, create vision, and set goals. LaShonda’s philosophy is “Let everything you do be done with integrity, love, and excellence.”
