Dr. Bagby is a Certified Christian Dating-Relationship Coach and an American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) member. She enjoys sharing Biblical principles to teach others. “I am an inspirational writer who did not aspire to become an author,” Dr. Bagby reveals. “While working as a deputy administrator in state government, writing was at the core of my work. Therefore, when I retired after working 38 years, it wasn’t my plan to become an author.
“I published my first book six years later. After several conversations about men, dating, and marriage, my adult daughters encouraged me to write the book. They saw the need after they shared our discussions with friends who asked for more information. My daughters suggested I write a book and believed it could help other Christian single women. Published in 2018, Your Adam Is Asleep Until God Opens His Eyes, is a Christian nonfiction relationship-focused book based on those conversations. It became a call to action for single Christian women to date with an intent to marry.
