Dream Come True

What is the title of your book, and how did you come up with the idea for the story?

The title of the book is Dream Come True. This is the first book in the Dreaming of Love series. This story shows how fear grips Leah, but she learns to trust God and walk in victory. The idea for this story line came to me because of how much fear has been put in our heart this last year. I want people to know that they can still trust God.

Tell us about your main character.

Leah is like the Leah in the Bible. She feels second best and lashes out at her family, but soon discovers that cutting off her nose to spite her face never ends well. Leah and her family take us on a journey of forgiveness as they remember that there is no fear in love.

Which character in your book are you most like?

I would have to say the mother, Alma is most like me. She loves her children but is no nonsense all the way.

Are your characters from the portrayal of real people?

No, not at all. I write fiction and try my best not to bring real people into my novels. Now, I will take real life situations and create a story from that.

What character in your book did you like the most? Why?

I am a fan of Cory. He is a successful businessman who really wants to live his life to please God. It takes just a bit of supernatural power to get him on the right track.

If your book became a movie who would play the characters?

For Leah – Gabrielle Union and for Cory – Michael Ealy

What message do you hope readers will get out of reading your story?

That revenge is never sweet. Vengeance is God’s, he will repay. When we try to get in God’s way, we mess it up every time.
